Kin and Verse makes tees and sweatshirts for people who want their clothes to say something true, whether that is a quiet statement of faith, a celebration of Juneteenth, or a piece that carries real Black culture pride without having to explain it to anyone.

How Kin and Verse approaches a job

This brand started from a simple observation: a lot of people want to wear their faith and their culture at the same time, and most apparel out there makes you pick one or the other. Faith brands tend to skip culture entirely. Culture brands tend to skip faith. Kin and Verse exists in the space between, making pieces that let a Sunday morning outfit and a Juneteenth cookout outfit come from the same closet without feeling like two different wardrobes. Every design starts as a phrase or a moment that actually means something, whether that is a nod to a specific cultural reference, a Bible verse rewritten as something you would actually wear, or a piece built specifically around a holiday like Juneteenth that deserves better than a clearance rack afterthought.

The goal has never been to chase a trend. It has been to make the piece someone reaches for on a day when they want their shirt to say something true about who they are, without needing to explain it to anyone who asks.

The full background

Ground rules

  • Every design starts from a real phrase or moment, not a generic slogan pulled from a trend list.
  • Faith and culture pieces sit on the same rack, because for a lot of our customers those two things are not separate at all.
  • Sized and cut for everyday wear, not a one-off event piece that sits in a drawer after the first wash.
  • New pieces added around the moments that matter, Juneteenth, Black History Month, and beyond, not just a once-a-year drop.

Straight answers

Do you ship nationally?
Yes. Orders ship across the country, and our biggest communities of customers tend to cluster in cities with strong Black church and cultural communities, though anyone anywhere is welcome to shop.
What sizes do you carry?
Our tees and sweatshirts run across a standard adult size range. Check the sizing and care page for a full breakdown before you order if you are between sizes.
Can I order for a group or event?
Yes, we regularly handle bulk orders for churches, family reunions, and community organizations. Reach out through the contact page with your quantity and timeline and we will work out the details.
Are new designs added regularly?
Yes, particularly around Juneteenth and other meaningful dates through the year. We would rather add a smaller number of pieces that actually mean something than flood the shop with filler.
How should I care for the print so it lasts?
Wash inside out in cold water and skip the dryer's high heat setting. Full care instructions are on the sizing and care page, and they genuinely do extend how long a print looks sharp.
